Unlike common prayer apps that monetize Muslim user locations or bombard users with intrusive video advertisements, Noor is engineered on a strict zero-tracking, zero-ad architecture.
No Advertisements, Ever
No banner ads at the bottom of the screen, no interstitial video takeovers when you open the Quran, and no sponsored audio clips. Your spiritual focus will never be interrupted by commercial monetization.
Your Location Never Leaves Your Phone
When you grant location permission, your iPhone’s coordinates are used solely by the local mathematical engine to compute sun angles and Qibla azimuth. We have no backend servers collecting, profiling, or storing your location history.
Zero Third-Party Tracking SDKs
Noor contains no Google AdMob, no Meta/Facebook Pixel, no AppsFlyer, no Adjust, and no invasive behavioral trackers. We do not participate in cross-app tracking or sell data to data brokers.

1. Information We Do Not Collect
We do not require you to create an account, register an email address, or provide personal identification to use Noor. All core features — prayer times, Qibla compass, Holy Quran, and digital tasbih — function immediately and unconditionally.
2. Device Permissions and How They Are Used
Noor requests only the minimum iOS system permissions required for core utility:
- Location (When In Use): Used exclusively to retrieve your current geographic latitude and longitude for on-device astronomical prayer calculations and Qibla bearing. Noor never collects background location while the app is closed.
- Camera: Used strictly for the 3D Augmented Reality Qibla Compass to overlay the holographic Kaaba direction onto your real-world camera preview. No video or photo frames are ever saved, recorded, or transmitted.
- Notifications: Used solely to schedule local iOS alerts for the daily five prayers and morning/evening adhkar. Notifications are pre-scheduled locally on your device without push server tracking.
3. On-Device Storage and Data Retention
Your personal preferences — such as chosen calculation standard, juristic madhhab, downloaded Quran audio files, ayah bookmarks, and tasbih counts — are stored solely within your iOS application sandbox. If you delete the Noor app, this data is erased automatically.
4. Third-Party Services
Noor does not share, monetize, or sell user data with advertising networks, analytics aggregators, or government entities. Any audio recitations or translation texts are served directly via high-security static CDNs with no user identity cookies attached.
5. Compliance with Apple App Store Review Guidelines
Noor strictly adheres to Apple’s App Tracking Transparency (ATT) framework and Guideline 5.1 (Data Collection and Storage). Because Noor does not track users across apps or websites, ATT tracking prompts are not required.
